- Notekeeping: Microsoft onenote
- Calendar: Microsoft outlook
- Instant message: Microsoft teams
- Email: Microsoft Microsoft Outlook
- Data sharing: Microsoft onedrive
- Primary this is books, but could also include good conversations, websites, youtube videos
- Barbell Method of reading
- Initial read is just to get an overview
- Mark as read passages for processing
- Go back and reread marked passages
- Write primary ideas atomically (each idea gets its own note)
- Link those ideas with what we already know
- Anything to be implemented goes into task management list
Personal work planning process
- Hybrid of Getting things done, Kanban, and Agile
- Main principles:
- All work should be visible - All projects recorded in Asana
- Try to break down projects into smaller tasks
- Weekly review bring tasks planned for the week onto the board
- During the week try to move tasks across the columns from new -> waiting -> in progress -> completed
- Weekly review:
- go through all projects,
- move achievable tasks into the weekly board
- Monthly review:
- What went well? what didnt?
- Align with annual goals
- Annual review:
- What accomplished during the year?
- What goals for the coming year?
- Long term (decade) goals
